Talledega the pom, one special dog

Talledega is a beautiful, energetic Pomeranian boy. We don't know how or why he came to find himself in a rural shelter and the shelter did not have any past owner history. Lucky for Talle, Homeward Trails was able to find a foster home for him.

His first stop was with foster Susie. Talle lived with Susie and was doing ok - he got along well with all the other dog in the house and canine visitors. Talle enjoyed being outside in Susie's yard and loved the belly rubs Susie gave him. But since there was another dog that really needed a more constant companion like Susie and her dog, (and Talle was fine as an only dog), Talle moved to a new foster home.

Talledega is now living with another wonderful foster family. Lucky Talle still gets lots of belly rubs.
Talledega has a typical Pomeranian personality in the fact that if he thinks he can, he will put himself in charge of the people of the house. Therefore, he should not go to a house with children under 10 yrs. old. He also needs a strong 'packleader' that will provide structure and discipline. Talledega is not a barker, and in general is a low to medium energy dog. Please consider making this little guy a part of your home!

  1. Talle has been with us for quite a while now. Since he has become comfortable with us, he now barks for what he wants (to come in, to register his discomfort with you leaving, etc). He stops barking a few minutes after you leave, but it may be a problem in an apartment.

Talle is an absolute pleasure. When I lie down on a blanket, he comes and rolls over against me to get his belly rubbed. He is very energetic and loves his walks.

He is absolutely devoted and waits by the door for you to get home. When he sees you, the little tail starts wagging and he runs in circles with excitement.

We live in a country setting near Fairfax Station so you are welcome to come and get to know him after going through the application process.
